  • Synchronic Web: The space of all data that is cryptographically hashed into a single distributed data structure.
  • Journal: A running program that reads and writes data from the Synchronic Web.
  • Record: A fragment of the Synchronic Web stored in a single location.
  • Service: A running program that provides specialized support for journal functionality.
  • Index: An integer used to identify temporally ordered state of data within a record.
  • Path: An ordered list of indices and other identifiers used to navigate between records across the Synchronic Web.
