Select a realization from an ensemble.

Parameters¶

• results : WindowedRandomResults Ensemble results returned by :func:generate_windowed_random.

• criterion : str, default=“lanl_rms_db_error” Name of the metric field to minimize if index is not provided.

• index : int, optional Explicit zero-based realization index to select. If provided, this takes precedence over criterion.

Returns¶

• SelectedRealization

• Selected realization containing the time history, SRS, and scalar

• metrics.

Raises¶

• AttributeError

• If criterion is not a valid attribute of

• :class:WindowedRandomMetrics.

Notes¶

This function provides the deterministic equivalent of the MATLAB gwinrand_select helper without interactive point-picking.
