Signature¶
def sdynpy.signal_processing.sdynpy_srs.lanl_rms_db_error(db_error: numpy.ndarray, frequency: numpy.ndarray, octave_resolution: float) -> Dict[str, numpy.ndarray | float]Compute LANL-style RMS dB error over octave-spaced frequency lines.
Parameters¶
db_error : ndarray dB error values. May be one-dimensional with shape
(n_freq,)or two-dimensional with shape(n_freq, n_series).frequency : ndarray Frequency vector with shape
(n_freq,).octave_resolution : float Number of points per octave.
Returns¶
dict
Dictionary containing:
-
"rms": floatAverage RMS dB error across series.
-
"std": floatAverage standard deviation of dB error across series.
-
"avg": ndarrayMean dB error across series at each frequency.
Raises¶
ValueError
If the first dimension of
db_errordoes not match the length offrequency.
Notes¶
This follows the octave-band weighting used in the MATLAB
lanl_rmsdberror routine.
