Signature¶
def sdynpy.signal_processing.sdynpy_srs.breakpoint_spectrum(frequencies: numpy.ndarray, break_frequencies: numpy.ndarray, break_values: numpy.ndarray, floor: Optional[float] = None) -> numpy.ndarrayEvaluate a breakpoint-defined spectrum using log-log interpolation.
Parameters¶
frequencies : ndarray Frequencies at which the spectrum should be evaluated.
break_frequencies : ndarray Monotonically increasing breakpoint frequencies.
break_values : ndarray Spectrum amplitudes at
break_frequencies.floor : float, optional Value used outside the breakpoint range. If not provided, the default is
min(break_values) / 1000.
Returns¶
ndarray
Spectrum amplitudes evaluated at
frequencies.
Raises¶
ValueError
If any breakpoint frequencies or breakpoint amplitudes are not
positive.
Notes¶
This function reproduces the numerical intent of MATLAB bpspec:
straight lines on log-log axes between breakpoint pairs, with a constant
floor outside the breakpoint range.
